[Sowder Family]

What an awesome day I had photographing the Sowder family. It was my first session that included grandparents and it was so much fun!

Our kids' grandparents mean the world to Mike and I and it was such a great experience getting to watch little Scott with his. There is so much history to different generations within a family. So much that each generation can teach the other and I had the awesome privilege of capturing this moment in time in their family's history. Something I will never forget. Thanks for such a great time, Sowders, and for supporting Mike and I's ministry!

[The Holterman Family]

The Holterman Family is hilarious. I think I might have been laughing through our entire shoot. The mom, Brooke, is probably one of the top 5 funniest women I've ever met. So witty and spunky. Of course she is balanced by her laid back husband who I think may have said two words through the whole shoot. And the kids...oh, the kids. The perfect blend of their parents. I totally loved that Brooke knew exactly what she wanted, I basically just had to shoot as she directed the troops. We were done in maybe 30 minutes.

[Brady Family]

The Brady's are an awesome family. I met Stephanie last fall when I joined a women's bible study at Emmanuel Wesleyan while we were home for several months for the birth of Emi. Barry has been friends with the guys in our family through church sports. And their boys, Beau and Ty, are obviously so stinkin' cute!

We had a late session and didn't even start until about 5pm so we were losing light but we snapped some photos just of them hanging out, playing on the playground and, of course, playing in the river nearby. Thanks so much for your support, Brady Family!

Ty was SOOO cute on this swing. He had such a blast.

I've been digging my "accidentally" blurry photos lately. It just adds something. Maybe its just me :)

Steph had to pretty much tackle and tickle Beau just to get a little smile out of him - he wasn't really a fan of the photo session, he just wanted to play!

[VanGerven Family]

What a fun day it was photographing the VanGerven's! It was a little chilly outside but the kids were troopers. Virginia has the perfect landscaping for good backgrounds. You really can't beat huge trees, vast fields and mountain views. Thanks for letting me follow your family around!

[Sarah & Benjamin]

I had the privilege of photographing Sarah and Benjamin. We went to this beautiful little property. A river running through with sunbeams stretching down on us. Trees everywhere. It was so awesome. Benjamin was in little kid heaven. Playing by the water, pretending to fish, climbing on rocks. We were able to reign him in for a few photos in between his imaginative games. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

[The Sells Family]

It has been such a blessing being a part of the EWC community. This is a church that has faithfully supported Mike and I for 4 1/2 years! So when we started this little photo fundraiser, I wasn't sure if people were going to want to do it. But pretty soon I found out that I was way wrong!

Introducing the Sells Family! Bryan is the youth pastor at Emmanuel Wesleyan and Heather is the worship leader. And their daughter Lily Grace...well, she's just a bundle of energy and mischief!

It was so much fun photographing this family. Lily Grace adores them and it is such a blessing to be able to capture people just loving each other. It was a good thing I had a little practice making kids smile because Lily Grace became one smiley girl when we played peek-a-boo and hide-n-seek! Thanks, Sells Family, for supporting our work in the Dominican Republic and Haiti through photography!
