{Detweiler Senior Photos}

It was cold and misty but Emily was a trooper.  I've never photographed anyone in December so I wasn't sure what the landscape would hold for us but I LOVED the vintage-y feel all of the browns, reds and orange hues gave us.  That, mixed with her sultry blue eyes and autumn-tinted hair made for some stunning photos!

We had a great time and I was so thankful to get to catch up with another family I got to know from their time on a missions trip to the Dominican!  Congratulations, Emily!

{Dishman Family}

I had the opportunity to meet a new family through some friends of mine that I photographed last year.  The Dishman family, and their extended family, were such a joy...not only to photograph but to get to know.  They invited me over for cheesecake after our photo session and we talked forever, as if we'd known each other for 20 years.

The little guy is the first grandbaby and if you have ever known first grandbabies, they are VERY loved.  And he is no exception.  This whole family doted on him like he was the only baby in the world.

I was very blessed to get to know this great family!

{Sutton Family}

You may notice that the Mama in these pictures looks a little familiar.  And that the baby boy in these pictures is extra cute.  And it may be because these pictures are of my sister's family and the little baby is my nephew, Owen.

I had to wait four REALLY long months to meet my newest nephew.  And it was worth the wait.  I just happened to meet him on his four-month birthday and got to take pictures of his sweet little face.  I spent the entire day holding, rocking and loving on him.  It was heaven.  Then I took pictures of him with his Mommy and Daddy a few days later.

I am loving these indoor shoots.  Something about being indoors but still soaking up the natural light just makes it feel so cozy.  I am so excited to share these pictures with all of you.  I'm sure little Owen James will steal your heart like he has mine!

{Hornback Family}

The Hornback family is a family that is very dear to us.  Although we have known them for several years, our friendship was deepened three years ago when Mike's dad, Joe, passed away.  This family huddled around ours and cared for us through a time when we weren't sure how we were going to make it through.  They brought us meals, checked in on us frequently and gave us a listening ear and shoulder to cry on.  Their friendship is irreplaceable and I was so glad when they asked me to do some family photos for them.

As you can see, these were obviously not taken this week given the seascape and warm sun that is present.  In August, Emmanuel Wesleyan Church came down on a missions trip and the Hornback family took our family to a beach retreat for a couple days afterwards.  It was such an awesome time.  We played in the sand and water, rested on beach chairs and ate to our hearts' content.

Thank you, Hornbacks, for the opportunity to capture your incredible family!

{Shore Family}

This family is so special to ours.  We got to know them when they came down on a missions trip with Hayworth Wesleyan Church and we were instant friends.  They are the kind of people that seem like you have known them for your entire life.

It was such a pleasure to capture their beautiful family and it was really fun to take the shoot inside a coffee shop and photograph their interactions with each other.  There were too many good photographs to choose from so I had to just settle on a few of my faves!  Enjoy!
