I was one proud Aunt taking pictures of this special girl. Being so far away I sometimes don't get to dive into the lives of my niece and nephews. So it was extra special that I got to photograph Payton and see a little part of her life that I don't normally get to see.
She's become such a wonderful young girl and it was great to have some alone time with her and my sister.

[Weinkauf Dance]
Dance session number two was with a girl that I literally have known since she was born. I still remember her in diapers and here she is a beautiful young lady.
It was so fun to watch her in her element. You could tell how much she loves to dance because her whole personality came alive when we started doing more dance poses. Just coming up with poses made her smile, laugh and have more fun.
You looked beautiful, Nikki! Thank you for letting me photograph you!

[Johnson Family}
It was so great to catch up with this adorable family! Before our photo shoot, I hadn't seen Kellie or Jason since I graduated high school almost 12 years ago! Whoa!
It was awesome to see them both in this role as parents. We had a great location, ripe with bugs and fun things for a little boy to explore! A special thanks to this family for letting me capture them at this stage in their lives! And congratulations on the new little bundle coming soon!

[Vander Wal Kids]
This shoot was so special for me. The little one's mom, Renee, and I met in college. Her a freshman, me a junior. You can't help but love Renee. Her gentle spirit and kind humility makes people drawn to her. It's the same way with her kids.
It was such a surreal moment for me one of the days that we stayed with this family, to be watching my two kids and her two kids playing. Like, the epitomized moment when I realized that we were grown ups and we had kids. And I got to photograph her kids.
What started out as what may have seemed a disaster of a morning turned into several awesome frames. We showed up at the park only to be greeted by about 1,000 walkers, walking for a cause. Everywhere you looked there were people with fluorescent colored t-shirts and spandex pants. The two little busy bodies were too busy to stay in a frame together but we were able to capture some great individual shots of them (and some spandex-panted walkers too)! Enjoy!
